Anyone notice that....

On Deviant Art, most people will hate you if you use the comment box to actually comment instead of undying appraisal of whatever was done. Even if you're being nice and are trying to help the artist, you'll be considered a flamer if you don't give a "THIS IS AWESOME" comment by both the artist and the fans.


I'm sure I'm not the only person to notice this am I? Why are there (or why does it seem to be that) so many artists that have such a big ego that they cannot take criticism?
